**About the Role**

Join Fonterra in a role that truly makes a difference as our Head of Responsible Dairy. This business-critical role forms part of our Farm Source lead team and has shared accountability for ensuring that Fonterra deliver demand-led milk supply for the business. This ensures Fonterra can create value, starting with milk sourced from farms which is the right milk, in the right amount at the right price that enables our farmers, Fonterra and our customers to be profitable.

Reporting to the Director Farm Source Australia, you will lead the Responsible Dairy team and be responsible for the assurance of on-farm milk quality standards, in addition to the continuing development and implementation of animal welfare and environmental standards.

This position will see you play a key role in enabling Fonterra Australia deliver against our sustainability goals and customer expectations via the development, delivery, and reporting of on-farm programs.

You will also:

- Ensure Fonterra’s farm milk supply and farm milk collection is safe, high quality, and compliant with all relevant regulations as the starting point for food safety and quality across our entire food value chain.
- Own the vision and strategy for delivering on farm sustainability in AU, acting as a thought-leader for AU on-farm sustainability. Build support for this vision at ALT, NZ & Industry level.
- Develop the tools and programmes to support and enable our farmers to continue to lift their on-farm sustainability performance through the execution and evolution of our Farm Environmental Plans.
- Deliver against Fonterra Group and Industry expectations in Animal Welfare performance.

**About you**

As the Head of Responsible Dairy, you will have significant experience in the development and leadership of on-field environmental performance.

You will have demonstrable experience in the implementation and maintenance of Farm Milk Quality standards within the Dairy industry, teamed with your experience in sourcing and maintaining agricultural product supply to support business needs.

You will be a natural relationship builder, with well-established and maintained industry networks, including beneficial relationships with Farmers, their advisers and their representative bodies such as ADF or Regional Dairy Programs.

In addition, you will have:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Environmental, or similar.
- Demonstrated understanding of customer service values and principals.
- Experience in organisational change management.
- Able to effectively coach, mentor and develop team members into high performing teams.
