The Botanic Gardens of Sydney (BGoS) is responsible for Australia's oldest scientific institute, three iconic botanic gardens and one of the nation's most significant public parks. BGoS incorporates the Australian Institute of Botanical Science, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah and The Domain.

**About the role**

Made up of committed, collaborative and creative people, our Experiences, Partnerships and Engagement team are seeking a Manager Partnerships & Giving to devise and implement programs to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with BGoS’ portfolio of partners, donors, trusts and foundations to ensure sustainable funding for key strategic projects.

This role is pivotal in directly managing relationships with partners and the Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens and is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all partnership funding agreements as well as ensuring a pipeline of qualified prospects is maintained. Collaborating closely with all directorates to ensure the success of contracted deliverables and the acquisition of significant external fundraising is key to this role.

In this role, you will also:

- Lead, engage, motivate and develop the Partnerships and Giving team in providing support to the BGoS’s fundraising activities and represent BGoS.
- Develop and implement BGoS’s fundraising strategy to generate significant long-term revenue and support for BGoS through partnerships, giving programs and events.
- Identify, develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective partners to grow relationships over time.
- Negotiate and renew partnership agreements and contracts, work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure donors and sponsors receive all contractual benefits and maximum exposure.

**About You**

A real go-getter, to be successful in this role, you will have:

- A can-do attitude. You will be results-driven and demonstrate resilience and self-motivation.
- Strong negotiation skills with extensive experience in business development or fundraising with a proven track record of securing extensive cash and in-kind support from donors and partners.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in business development or partnerships with a proven track record in client servicing and account management.
- Knowledge of the development of commercial and legal contracts to formalise partner agreements.
- Experience managing partnership contracts and ensuring delivery by both parties.
- Ability to work after hours, including weekends, as required.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
