**Who we are**
The Nature Positive Integration Division delivers strategic policy with a focus on the environment and water, providing governance, high-level policy oversight and program delivery. The Division consists of three branches including Environmental Policy Integration, Regional Planning and Landscapes and Natural Heritage Trust.
The Environmental Policy Integration Branch works across the areas of the department responsible for the environment, water and protected area groups within the portfolio, and engages on environment and heritage, environmental and First Nations heritage protection reforms, biodiversity markets, economics, environmental science, and water, and Parks Australia and the Antarctic. Acknowledging the scale and breadth of reform across the environment, heritage, water and protected area groups, the main components to the work of the branch are supporting strategic alignment, collaboration and oversight of the Minister for the Environment and Water’s priority projects.
Managing governance to track and support delivery of this integrated program of work across divisions, driving improved outcomes across the whole Agenda.
- Establishing arrangements to identify risks and areas of capability uplift and support collectively delivery of all projects in an integrated manner.
- Building and maintaining effective work relationships with the enabling areas of the Department, including the First Nations, Communications, Procurement, Risk and Portfolio Strategy.
- Supporting the department’s strategic engagement with the Minister and the Office on the Nature Positive Agenda.
The Strategy Section is working to facilitate and influence the delivery of the Nature Positive Agenda through effective strategies that:
identify and respond to risks and opportunities, facilitate cohesion and collaboration, and facilitate alignment with Government priorities. The Strategy Section is working towards the following outcomes:
- developing a shared understanding of the Nature Positive Agenda and “nature positive” for staff and externals,
- maintaining strategic oversight of Agenda progress and addressing roadblocks to delivery, delivering projects and managing risk in a cohesive and interconnected way,
- building strong, collaborative relationships across the agenda and nature positive,
- integrating the Nature Positive Agenda with other DCCEEW and government priorities and identifying gaps to be addressed in the future.
**The Job**
The role will involve:
- further development of the Nature Positive narrative and associated communications materials for internal and external use,
- facilitating alignment and influencing national activities (e.g. across government, across DCCEEW) to consider environmental pressures and contribute to nature positive ambitions undertaking,
- interpreting research and data analysis,
- liaising across the department to influence delivery of the Minister’s priorities and facilitate collaboration assisting with communications across the department and externally,
- drafting, collating and reviewing content and documentation,
- supporting delivery of activities to enhance integrated delivery across the program of work,
- liaising across the department to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration,
- assisting EPIB to prepare, monitor and implement the overarching project plan to achieve the outcomes of the Roadmap towards Nature Positive.

- Internal and external stakeholder facilitation, engagement and management.
- Strategic planning and/or policy capability.
- Providing efficient and effective secretariat and governance support to senior executive.
- Communication or change management.
