**Role Summary**

In this newly created role, the Project Controls Lead will be responsible for coordinating all estimating, scheduling and cost control activities necessary for the successful execution of the project. You will be responsible for supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of the overall project controls infrastructure to include Work Breakdown Structure, Overall Project Plan, Code of Accounts, Project Estimate, Budgets, Project Schedule and resource requirements to execute the project.

Key responsibilities encompass, but are not restricted to:

- Directs performance measurement activities on all facets of the project - Engineering, Contracts, Materials and Equipment Procurement and Construction.
- Responsible for designing and developing reports and associated management tools to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action as the project proceeds.
- Performs schedule optimisation studies and cost-benefit analyses resulting in a more timely and efficient execution of the project.
- Prepares and responds to urgent Management requests for data, reporting and cost and schedule analyses in a timely manner.
- Develops, interprets, and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to cost and schedule control and analysis activities.
- Identifies, analyses, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning / scheduling problems.
- Prepares for approval all project cost forecasts and progress reports.
- Reviews draft construction contracts for adequacy of cost and schedule requirements.

**Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities**
- Degree-level qualified or relevant experience.
- Ability to work well within both Internal and External Teams.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Controls Leadership.
- Experience in EPCM organisations for major projects.
- Substantial experience in Cost Control, Change Management, Planning, Progress Measurement, Risk Management, and Estimating on engineering, procurement, construction and completions phases.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and excellent listening skills required.
- Experience in Cost Control, Change Management, Planning, and Progress Measurement Industry Practices.
- Experience integrating ERP systems with project controls systems.
- Experience with engineering and construction earned value systems.
- Proficient in Primavera P6.
