The Careers Development and Employability Programs Coordinator reports to the Career Services Team Lead and is responsible for the oversight of key Vocational Education-focused Employability programs. This includes responsibility for student communication, design and delivery of student workshops and events, monitoring, and evaluation of programs, coordinating reporting on the impacts and outcomes of the Programs as well as liaison with other areas of the University. The overall goal of the position is to provide up-to-date career development and employability support through partnerships with Vocational Education areas and other business units. The role provides additional Careers and Employability support to VET students and teachers through targeted Job readiness programs, scoping of future programs and connection to the broader university strategic goals and VET compliance requirements.

The incumbent will be required to operate independently with broad direction from the Manager, Career Development and the Coordinator of the Skills and Jobs Centre. The role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to exercise considerable judgment, initiative and discretion while interacting daily with students and professional and teaching staff across the Vocational Education division of the University.

For this role, the incumbent will be based in Hawthorn, but will be expected to regularly travel to Croydon and Wantirna.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Proven experience in the management and development of institution
- wide programs, ideally employability programs in VET/TAFE sector
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with diverse groups of people, including internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of career development theories and
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, manage and develop relationships with schools and academic/teaching partners to deliver in-curriculum career development learning.

**Qualifications**
- A recognised qualification in Career Development, supported by relevant industry
- Eligibility for membership of a CICA recognised career professional association.
