- Act 2013. _

**The NDIS Commission’s core legislative functions are to**:

- uphold the rights of, and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of, people with

disability receiving supports or services, including those received under the National

Disability Insurance Scheme
- develop a nationally consistent approach to managing quality and safeguards for people

with disability receiving supports or services, including those received under the

National Disability Insurance Scheme
- promote the provision of advice, information, education and training to NDIS providers

and people with disability
- secure compliance with relevant legislation through effective compliance and

enforcement arrangements, including through the monitoring and investigation

functions conferred on the Commissioner by legislation
- promote continuous improvement amongst NDIS providers and the delivery of

progressively higher standards of supports and services to people with disability
- develop and oversee the broad policy design for a nationally consistent framework

relating to the screening of workers involved in the provision of supports and services to

people with disability
- engage in, promote and coordinate the sharing of information to achieve the objects of

the relevant legislation, and
- provide NDIS market oversight, including:
i. by monitoring changes in the NDIS market which may indicate emerging

risk; and

ii. by monitoring and mitigating the risks of unplanned service withdrawal.

**Corporate Division**

The Corporate Division is responsible for delivering all corporate service activities across the

Commission, and for advising on and supporting the strategic direction of the Commission.

The Corporate Division consists of the following functions:

- Property - Security - Finance
- Procurement - HR - ICT
- Internal Audit - Internal Fraud - Corporate Support- Information Management

**Security and Workplace Services Team**

The Security and Workplace Services team is responsible for enhancing the NDIS
Commission’s business, security and resilience capability through strategically and
operationally managing the national property and accommodation portfolio.

The Corporate Support team is made up of Corporate Support Officers (CSO) who are
responsible for face-to-face support in nine of the NDIS Commission’s offices nationwide.
The CSOs work as a team and in collaboration with other Corporate teams to ensure
consistency of processes across the offices.

**Key duties of the role**

Day to day activities in the Corporate Support team will be across a wide range of duties
and would suit a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, who enjoys
working with people and is able to **work from the office full-time.**

The role is primarily responsible for:

- maintaining the office and identifying needs to provide relevant support;
- providing general assistance to staff, including Senior Executive Service (SES) staff;
- working with Corporate teams to on-board and off-board newstarters;
- facilitating office induction for newstarters;
- providing Corporate services for the office, including;
- managing office supplies;
- mail distribution;
- coordinating logistics associated with on-boarding and off-boarding staff;
- escorting visitors and contractors (sometimes done out of hours on a very
- rare basis);- providing general advice on processes and use of templates across all Corporate
- functions; and- working collaboratively to support the Corporate functions; Property, Security, HR,
- Finance, Procurement, ICT, Internal audit and Information Management;- .
