**The opportunity**:
Explore an exceptional career opportunity as a Strategic Risk Analyst within the Corporate Operations team at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with the Head of Risk to oversee the comprehensive risk management program across the Institute. Your key responsibilities will involve partnering with researchers, both locally and internationally, guiding them in identifying, assessing, and addressing risks to enhance organisational resilience and advance our strategic objectives.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Working with teams across the institute to prepare and update risk assessments
Supporting the strategic plan for risk management
Works on risk management maturity assessments and risk plan improvements
Supports the delivery of risk management training and risk workshops across the institute
Helping prepare risk reports for the Board committees and track implementation of actions
Facilitating risk committee meetings, preparation and reporting
Support the implementation of a risk management software system
Work with clinical risk management governance and research ethics committees

**What we need from you**:
Strategic thinker who can help guide teams when considering risk in their strategic planning
Proven stakeholder relationship management - ability to build collaborative relationships and strategic partnerships
Experience working in, or understanding of the Health or Medical Research sector and Academia (desirable, not mandatory)
A basic understanding of risk management (support and training will be provided to those whose career has focused on research or health care skills)
Superior problem-solving ability and the ability to negotiate successful outcomes
Reliable team member with the skills to set, communicate and manage expectations
Respectful of workplace diversity
A relevant university degree is desired (not mandatory)
Commitment to understanding the vision, values, and work of MCRI
