**About the role**
As a Facilities Service Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day running and housekeeping of Council’s senior citizen clubs and community group facilities. The key priority in this role is to ensure the public, event organisers, users and Council staff received satisfaction when using these facilities. These facilities include:

- Bentleigh Senior Citizens Centre
- Carnegie Library and Community Centre
- Caulfield Senior Citizen Centre
- East Bentleigh Senior Citizens Centre
- Ormond Senior Citizens Centre
- Moorleigh Senior Citizens Centre

**Key responsibilities**
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Liaising with the public, event organisers, external users and Council staff.
- Ensuring the facility layout and equipment is in compliance with the agreed needs of the organisation and the facility users
- Setting up/dismantling meeting and function rooms, including tables, chairs and AV equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is functional and adhering to OH&S guidelines.
- Always ensure a highly visible presence when on duty so that an environment of secure confidence exists for visitors and staff of the facility
- In the event of an emergency, act as the Fire Warden and help coordinate the facilities Emergency Management Plan

**About you**
We are looking for an individual who is proactive, efficient and results focused with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. You must be able to work autonomously and manage your own time in the face of competing demands.

The following is also required:

- Excellent oral communication skills with hirers, guests and staff
- Knowledge of and ability to trouble shoot audio visual systems and technologies
- Skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety procedures
- Experience in the Service Industry
- A current Victorian Drivers licence

**Important Information**
This is a casual position and will work on an “as required” basis to help cover bookings, peak periods and other short-term requirements. The number of hours of work may vary week to week and there is no guarantee of ongoing work with Council.

You will be required to work across all our senior citizen clubs and community group facilities.
