Job Title: New Business Development (Full-Time Sales)

PLC Hardware was incorporated in 2009 and is a parallel importer and independent distributor of automation hardware. Australian-owned, PLC Hardware is trusted by some of the biggest names in the manufacturing, mining, and process industries. We have long-term loyal customers because we provide reliable customer service, technical support, and realistic pricing for hardware. PLC Hardware has experienced rapid growth over the last few years and has great potential for further growth.
**About the role**:
- Rockwell Automation
- Siemens - Schneider
- Mitsubishi
- Hitachi
- Omron - Panasonic
- Cermate HMI
- Phoenix Contact
- Norco Industrial monitors & PCs.
- And a wide variety of other Industrial Control and sensors.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Electrical trades industrial background is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the sale of Industrial Control & Automation Hardware preferably in Australian-based companies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience, with the ability to accurately and effectively convey information to clients at all levels.
- Previous experience using a CRM system.
- Must be an Australian resident.
- Applicants with a broad base of existing Industrial contacts are preferred.
- Preference is for a mature person 30-50 who must have an electrical trades or technical background.
**Requirements and Essential Skills**:
- Ability to technically review and submit prospective customer RFQ’s to our sales dept and value add where possible.
- Be able to review quotes for accuracy and promptly follow up.
- Ability to show previous experience in achieving the highest customer satisfaction & support.
- Ability to be an outstanding professional who can represent the business in a direct selling role at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise time to maximise effectiveness and outcomes.
- Ability to develop business and drive new opportunities through creative and technical sales techniques.
- Be socially connected and know how to leverage various platforms efficiently for opportunities.
- Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
- Ability to inspire confidence and create trust with potential clients.
- Ability to achieve weekly objectives and plan personal workload effectively.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
