LogiHire is pleased to continue our partnership with one of Australia's largest and fastest-growing Freight Forwarders who are expanding their general freight and warehousing division.
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to enhance our company's profitability by driving revenue growth. This role involves the generation of new business and expanding our presence in key service areas including Freight, Warehousing, International Freight Forwarding, and specialized sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue lucrative business leads, focusing on high-value national accounts.
- Coordinate with internal teams for the preparation and delivery of compelling capability presentations to potential clients.
- Collaborate in the proposal development process, ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing strategies.
- Efficiently communicate and manage opportunities for company tenders, ensuring responsive and accurate submissions.
- Emphasize 'Customer Delight' in onboarding new clients, fostering positive, long-term business relationships.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends, maintaining a keen awareness of the market landscape.
- Develop and execute industry-specific campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Participate in the creation of sales and marketing materials and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively towards shared team goals, meeting and exceeding set targets and KPIs.
- Continuously update records of sales activities and suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
**Key Competencies & Requirements**:
- Commitment to best practices in Health, Safety, and Environment.
- Integrity, professionalism, and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Experience in the transport, logistics, and warehousing industry is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the freight industry.
- Advanced negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills in a sales context.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and excellent presentation skills.
- Time management, resilience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
