A rare opportunity exists for Strategic Communications Officer role to join a newly formed team tasked with establishing the new Department of Government Services.
About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role As the Strategic Communications Officer, you will support the effective coordination and delivery of DGS communications. This includes coordinating the day-to-day management of DGS communications enquiries; providing administrative and project management support to the team; assisting with the development and production of communications across a range of channels.

**About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to**:

- Write, edit and produce high-quality web-based content, presentations, reports, online newsletters and promotional material.
- Provide editorial support for the development and implementation of communications strategies and plans for key content and communications channels.
- Plan, document, and track delivery of key communication activities.
- Deliver high quality in person and web-based events on time and on budget
