An exciting opportunity has become available within the Department for Health and Wellbeing (DHW) for multiple workforce relations experts to help shape the future health workforce in South Australia - an industry that is complex, dynamic and vital to a thriving State.

DHW's Strategic Industrial Relations Unit is a newly established team, designed to drive a new era of workforce relations strategy and support across the SA Health system. The new Unit has a remit for innovation, courage and a focus on the long-term design of optimal health workforce employment arrangements. As one of three Workforce Relations Leads you will manage the end-to-end process for one or more enterprise agreements for SA Health. Not only will you manage the enterprise bargaining process, you will also be the go-to person for technical advice and interpretation of medical enterprise agreements. You will support the Senior Legal Officer with disputation and litigation procedures that involve medical staff and that have system-wide implications for workforce relations policies and planning. You will be empowered to proactively identify, research and analyse potential workforce issues in collaboration with workforce relations personnel across the Local Health Networks to help inform strategic planning and policy requirements, and support the delivery of priorities and objectives as set by the Health Chief Executive Council (HCEC).

The new Unit is actively embracing skills and experience gained from other industries, so previous experience in the health sector is not a pre-requisite.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate capabilities across the following key areas:

- Demonstrated experience in driving the end-to-end enterprise bargaining process in one or more industries.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and demonstrated success in negotiating organisational positions with Union bodies or industry associations.
- Courage and fortitude to effectively advocate for needs of the organisation during difficult negotiations.
