**About the Opportunity**

The ARC Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T) is undertaking leading research activity in the fundamental science, engineering and commercial implementation of silicon and optical quantum computing and quantum communications technologies. There is an international race to build a scalable, quantum computer that transcends the capacity of conventional computers, and this technology has the potential to transform the information economy and create industries of the future.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will report to the Centre’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be responsible for executing a range of marketing activities that will maximise the reach and international profile of CQC2T.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create engaging digital content and communications across multiple platforms to impact the Centre’s target audiences and to positively contribute to the overall Marketing and Communication strategy.
- Communicate and report on campaign outcomes, while tracking digital analytics and consulting with the Centre COO to forecast and make any adjustments accordingly.
- Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders and an external agency to produce communication across a variety of projects that align with strategic objectives and timelines. These projects may include media releases, research reports, and the Centre Annual Report.
- Create copy, and also proof-read, edit and review materials and documents prepared by Centre staff for inclusion across communication channels.
- Establish and maintain positive and collaborative internal and external relationships while leveraging partnerships and networking opportunities.
- Support the COO and Centre team where appropriate.

**Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in the development, preparation and implementation of successful marketing and communication campaigns.
- Proven success creating and managing the delivery of a significant printed publication project, such as an Annual Report, from concept and collation through to proofreading and printing.
- Successful track record managing a variety of projects simultaneously, communicating accordingly and taking action with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent verbal communication and strong writing and editing skills along with the ability to maintain positive and collaborate relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SEO, social media platforms and website analytic tools and the ability to communicate campaign results.
- Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite and skills in photo and video editing are not essential, but will be highly advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communication, or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in science, technology and innovation with excitement to showcase the work of the ARC Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology.
