APS makes structured giving simple, so our 1000+ clients can focus on supporting the causes that matter to them. APS is the leading independent, not-for-profit philanthropic services organisation in Australia. Collectively, APS clients have over $2 billion in assets committed to the community and give more than $200 million in charitable gifts every year. This permanent role is part of our small but mighty Marketing team, dedicated to supporting our clients and growing philanthropy in Australia.

Role Description

This is a permanent role (4 or 5 days per week). Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Partnerships, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator delivers timely and effective marketing, communications and business development activities that support APS strategic business objectives. A true marketing generalist, the successful candidate will work across all aspects of the APS marketing and business development function, including written and visual content, collateral development, digital marketing (Google AdWords, website, email and social media), data management, events and campaign activity, driving our client engagement activity and supporting all aspects of growth and development.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To effectively perform in this position, the successful candidate will require the following:

Essential Skills And Experience
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role in a commercial, agency, media or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing, communications and social media plans and deliver results.
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated capability working with and engaging multiple stakeholders, with the ability to meet and anticipate their needs.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Campaign Monitor (or equivalent), Canva, WordPress, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, journalism or a related discipline.
Desirable
  • Experience with Salesforce, and data management an advantage.
  • Understanding of philanthropy and/or experience of working in a social purpose setting OR background in financial services and/or experience working with professional advisers (financial planners, accountants, lawyers).
