Tissue Pathology & Diagnostic Oncology at ICPMR Westmead is a large diagnostic referral laboratory supporting clinicians and patients of Western Sydney and across NSW. The Referrals and Meetings Coordinator is a member of the administration team and has contact with internal and external customers.

**What you'll be doing**

The Referrals and Meetings Coordinator is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate management and tracking of material (slides and FFPE blocks) referred into and out of TPDO for second opinions, meetings, ancillary testing etc. The incumbent works closely with Pathologists, TPDO specialist laboratories and referring clinicians and the dedicated Meetings Coordinator.
- Demonstrated experience in the handling of diagnostic tissue blocks, slides and requests in the context of referrals management and tracking.
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory information systems usage, record keeping and management of pending lists.
- Demonstrated understanding of accreditation requirements and other guidelines pertaining to referrals management.
- Proven computer literacy and strong keyboard skills with speed and accuracy, including use of digital transcription equipment.
- Demonstrated ability and initiative to work both as part of a team and independently, supporting your team members and management, with sound knowledge of administrative procedures in health setting.
- Demonstrated strong customer focus and commitment to providing exceptional services to all clients (internal and external to the organistion).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong written and verbal English and be capable of professionally liaising and working with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation using different modes of communication in a technical and business context.

**Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases**
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
