**About the Role**
The purpose of the Risk Analyst role is to support and provide guidance to Retail and Business Bank teams on adherence to the Operational Risk Framework. The role specifically focuses on the identification, reporting, assessment, mitigation and management of non-financial risks, controls, issues, and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide risk support and feedback to the Line 1 Risk team and relevant key stakeholders within Retail or Business Banking division, as necessary.
- Identify root cause, gaps and potentially systemic issues and inform the risk management team or Line 1 stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Provide monthly incident and exception analysis and insights that informs risk management.
- Incident, Issue and Treatment Plan management, Control Self-Assessment activities support and associated system administration activities.
- Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the BOQ Group to identify, assess, mitigate, manage, and report across all risk and incidents.
- Perform other administrative and ad hoc risk-related activities as directed by management which supports the Retail and Business Banking division.
- Make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and strategy.
- Update, modify or provide risk feedback across existing policies and procedures within own area of expertise.
- Support the Retail and Business Bank to take a healthy amount of risk to enable customers to safely achieve their financial dreams.

**About you**
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry (preferably within banking) or a similar role.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial, statistical and qualitative data and present it in a logical manner
- Ability to problem solve and articulate potential solutions
- Understanding of a complex regulatory environment
- Risk management practices
- An understanding of relevant banking legislation (e.g. NCCP, Banking Code of Practice, Corporations Act)
- Non-Financial Risk management experience
- A tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
