Perioperative services

Cabrini Malvern Perioperative Services is a vibrant and dynamic environment with 19 operating theatres including a Hybrid theatre, 3 endoscopy rooms and 2 Cardiac Cath Labs spread across 2 levels in a spacious and modern facility equipped with advanced technology. Providing a full range of surgical specialties, with more than 1800 operations each month, every theatre and Cath Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide patient centred care. Our 3 day of surgery admission points and staff focus on every patient having a positive experience with their admission to theatre, while our 3 Post-Anaesthetic Care Units and 2 discharge lounges caters for all specialist post-operative requirements.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Orderly to join our Day Procedure Centre (DPC) theatres at Cabrini Malvern on a full-time basis.

We offer a supportive environment where the team work closely to achieve best patient outcomes and provide high standards of care.

A large focus of the orderly role involves patient transport and interaction.

Key responsibilities include:
- Transporting patients, equipment and courier items around the hospital.- Providing support and assistance, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other clinical staff.- Provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors and staff.- Contribute to the team, cooperate and communicate.- Performs cleaning duties & maintains cleanliness of equipment.

About you

We are seeking previous experience as an orderly, or from a similar work environment.

The applicant needs to be a caring person who is passionate about helping others and is a self-motivated individual with initiative and energy to support the DPC theatre environment.

You will also have- Flexible working availability as will be scheduled over a 7-day roster.- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.- Ability to take direction.- Sound communication skills, proficient in written and spoken English.- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
