Western Private Hospital (WPH) is a boutique private hospital servicing the West of Melbourne, with the provision of acute services, which has 68 inpatient beds.

WPHs facilities include four Operating Theatres, CSSD, Day Stay Unit, Day Oncology Unit, Eleanor Overnight Ward for CCU, HDU & Surgical patients, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, Nuclear Medicine Department and supported by pathology, pharmacy, radiology and radiation therapy services.

About the Role

Due to a period of sustained growth we are seeking an experienced Patient Accounts Officer to join our talented Finance Team.

**Specific duties will include**:
Billing of inpatient and outpatient accounts for PET nuclear scanning services

Submit online claims to Medicare, DVA and Health Funds via Eclipse

Deliver on the billing, revenue generation and collection tasks

Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels in the health service and service providers

Actively commit to achieving the KPIs of the Finance Department.

About You / Selection Criteria

Billing experience within the healthcare sector - knowledge of radiology billing highly regarded

Medical software experience, including proficiency with patient management systems such as webPAS, as well as a Radiology Information System (RIS) such as Karisma, Promedicus, CRIS or other similar systems is highly desirable

Proven experience in reconciliation of accounts via Eclipse and manual claims - including Medicare/DVA and health fund billing

An ability to learn and work effectively with in-house and external systems and other health fund and third-party portals

A professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills

IT savvy - an ability to navigate multiple systems

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Western Private Hospital
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19, Influenza and provide proof of immunisation against, or immunity to, infectious diseases as required per the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic)

Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 6 months and evidence of Australian Residency / Full Working Rights

According to the role, WPH may require a Working With Children check
