**This recruitment is to establish a talent pool to fill ongoing and temporary (Part-time or Full-Time) Manager roles in the Office of the Deputy Secretary CPPYJ.**

**Location: Parramatta - flexible working arrangements available upon negotiation**
**Grade 11/12 - $139,787- $161,663 p.a. + superannuation and annual leave loading**

**Your role**

The Manager Briefings and Correspondence and Manager Critical and Contentious Issues are responsible for the delivery, planning and coordination of complex matters within designated timeframes. You will lead a team to deliver strategic priorities achieving outcomes and supporting organisation objectives within the Office of the Deputy Secretary CPPYJ.

- Proven senior leadership experience with an ability to lead and manage a team to effectively foster a culture aligning with DCJ values.
- A strategic mindset to align goals with the organisation's overall objectives.
- Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
- An ability to multi-task and prioritise urgent matters in a high volume environment.
- High level problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build, maintain and influence relationships.
- Casework Practice knowledge. Knowledge of IT systems such as Mini App, TRIM and ChildStory.**What you’ll do**
- Critically review and coordinate a high volume of Community Services and Youth Justice advice for the Deputy Secretary, Minister, Secretary and NSW Ombudsman
- Lead a team to deliver high quality and timely advice to senior decision makers.
- Lead a team to deliver on key projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with the Minister’s Office, Office of the Secretary, Media Unit, EFCU and Districts on advice.
- Manage complex allocation requests.
- Coordinate divisional communications including gathering or writing content.

**What you need**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Child protection, out of home care or related experience
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the DCJ divisions, cross government and sector responsibilities.
- Advanced skills and experience in writing and reviewing briefings and correspondence.
- Experience in managing allocations and workflow activities that enable system efficiencies.
- Experience in managing sensitive and highly confidential information in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
