**Your role**

The OSP is responsible for continuously improving child protection practice so that children experience sustained safety, permanency, and wellbeing. The OSP provides a range of services, learning and development initiatives and strategies that build the skill, knowledge and competency of child protection practitioners and leaders.

11/12 Manager positions may be available across a range of OSP units, specifically:

- **Practice Quality**: responsible for building organisational capacity to improve the performance of services delivered to children and families. This includes providing systems support to districts to achieve and sustain accreditation with the Office of the Children’s Guardian through quality services delivered to children in OOHC.
- **Practice Learning**: responsible for supporting practitioners and practice leaders in DCJ and the sector to grow and maintain their practice capabilities through a culture of continuous learning.

As an OSP manager, you will:

- Lead a team responsible for designing, developing, managing and reporting on projects aimed at improving outcomes for children, families and communities, and aligned with DCJs priorities, legislative requirements and the NSW Practice Framework and Practice Standards.
- Provide proactive and evidence-based expert advice and reports to the executive about practice, systems and workforce issues that impact service delivery to children, families and communities.

**What we’re looking for**
- Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience in direct practice with children and families.
- Cultural capability and experience in supervising, supporting or partnering with diverse groups.
- Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams effectively and fostering a culture aligning with DCJ values.
- A strategic mindset and align OSP goals with the organisation's overall objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to build, maintain and influence relationships.
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of a range of digital platforms.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment with deadlines constraints.
- Ability to manage budgets and/or optimise financial resources.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
