**Now, a bit about the role**:

- Monitor team caseloads to ensure team workload is managed equitably and reasonably.
- Coordinate and ensure training and mentoring of team members in conjunction with the SWBO.
- Develop sustainable solutions and processes to support the day-to-day functions of the team.
- Prepare and lodge case plans for financial assistance and homelessness support for veterans and their families.
- Assist in the preparation of briefs and case summaries for more complex cases and participate in and contribute to case reviews where appropriate.

**About you**
- A degree in Human Services or Health Sciences or an equivalent (essential). This role would be well suited to a social worker, registered nurse or counsellor.
- 2 to 3+ years experience as a team leader
- Demonstrated high level of professionalism, organisational compliance, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead and motivate staff to achieve high quality outcomes and build strong work culture and engagement.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy (essential) when working in highly sensitive environments and situations
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in person-centred and strength-based case management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound time management skills and a proven ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to foster mutually beneficial professional relationships and outcomes.
- Commitment to work within legislative and budget parameters.
- An understanding of the ADF environment and its unique sensitivities would be highly regarded.
- Flexibility to work across and within broad geographical areas.
- Ability to travel when required.
