TAL has recently completed the acquisition of Westpac Banking Corp’s life insurance business. The acquisition allows TAL to strengthen its position as the largest insurer in Australia and will provide expanded opportunities for its business and its people. Importantly, it will also ensure we continue to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers, partners and stakeholders.

The deal also includes an exclusive long-term 20-year strategic alliance through which TAL will provide life insurance products and services to Westpac’s existing customers and partners.

**Job Description**:
This is a 6-month contract role.

In this role you will:

- Assist Business Analyst to determine business needs and drivers through stakeholder consultation and collaboration.
- Ensure deliverables meet stated technical requirements / standards.
- Ensure all projects are delivered in line with TAL project management processes, governance and frameworks.
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy;
- Work with the team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models;
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions;
- Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments; Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you will have,
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Technical Analyst, preferably in the Insurance industry.
- Experience working on Regulatory or Successor Fund Transfers projects.
- Strong data modelling knowledge
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent relationship development, management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work across multiple teams and different projects at the same time
- Experience with data warehouse design, good understanding of different layers in a data platform such as integration and presentation
