**About the role**

An great opportunity exists to make a difference for nature through working collaboratively with a wide range of passionate and dedicated volunteers in Victoria's parks. This role will help to drive mutually beneficial partnerships that care for our parks while ensuring that volunteering is safe, rewarding and well governed. You will work with a dedicated team of Parks Victoria staff and many community-based volunteering organisations to grow, support and diversify our volunteer programs in parks. You will have outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, experience in working with a wide range of community groups, as well strong strategic and evaluation skills. Experience in developing and implementing health and safety procedures will also be important.

**We're looking for someone with**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, community development or public policy
- Demonstrated strong understanding of the volunteering sector including at least five years of experience in leadership roles with the volunteering sector, ideally in parks or similar settings.
- Demonstrated experience in safety procedures and systems and a demonstrated personal commitment to safety leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in change management in the community development and/or volunteering sector.
- Demonstrated high level of experience and success in designing and implementing statewide strategic directions, frameworks, guidelines and tools in a collaborative and inclusive way to guide and support regional program delivery, ideally in parks or similar settings.
