**About the team**
School Performance division leads and directs the operations of more than 2200 NSW public schools to maximise the academic achievements of all students and create a culture of success, learning and a desire to achieve, underpinned by innovative, adaptive, and supportive strategies that also supports the quality of teaching and educational leadership at the school level.
**About the role**:
This role is accountable for executive support and administration of the Deputy Secretary’s office and functions, and the achievement of the Division and Department’s objectives.
- Provide high level executive and administrative assistance to the office of the Deputy Secretary, School Performance South including supporting Senior Executive’s office.
- Monitor, implement and evaluate administrative practices, systems, and procedures.
- Contribute as a key team member to the work of the Executive’s office.

**Essential requirements of the role**
Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**About you**
You are effective with multiple stakeholder and personnel liaison and a great negotiator. You are experienced in the use of administrative systems and processes to lead high functioning office operations. You love being a main point of contact and respond proactively on a wide range of matters including sensitive and confidential matters.
