**About the role(s)**
**OPS3 Trainee Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner -Acute**
The Trainee Practitioner will be trained under supervision to provide clinical intervention, assessment, care planning and education within their scope of practice. The Trainee Practitioner reports to their respective clinical lead and works collaboratively with other CALHN clinicians employed in ward/ inpatient settings. This role will contribute to South Australia’s Strategic Plan target 2.5 on Aboriginal life expectancy, as well as the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) National Partnership Agreement on Closing the Gap in Indigenous Health Outcomes health related targets.
**Educational/Vocational Qualifications**
- Enrolled in RTO Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent.
**OPS4 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner -Acute**
The Practitioner will provide clinical intervention, assessment, care planning and education within their scope of practice to patients allocated to them. The Practitioner reports to the Senior Aboriginal Health Practitioner and works collaboratively with the Aboriginal Health Practitioners employed in Program specialty areas. This role will contribute to South Australia’s Strategic Plan target 2.5 on Aboriginal life expectancy, as well as the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) National Partnership Agreement on Closing the Gap in Indigenous Health Outcomes, health related targets.
**Educational/Vocational Qualifications**
- Must have AHPRA recognised Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) or equivalent.
- Must hold registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia (part of AHPRA).
