**What you’ll do**

As a Recovery and Settlements Consultant, you will be responsible for protecting our insured and non-insured customers through the proactive management of demands received from Solicitors. You will ensure the timely resolution of liability, quantum, and payment issues and to actively contribute to achieving departments targets and goals while providing exceptional customer care.

In addition, you will also:

- Effectively manage the recovery and settlement process for the allocated work
- Negotiate win/win with settlement claims
- Provide superior customer service experience in every interaction with customers
- Handle customer enquiries regarding existing insurance claims
- Maintain clear and concise communication with customers, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards all customers
- Contribute to positive customer outcomes through answering inbound calls, taking ownership and progressing claims whilst achieving or exceeding daily targets

**What you’ll bring**
- Previous experience within Insurance Claims or similar would be advantageous, but not essential
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to analyse data and make appropriate decisions
- Work autonomously and the ability to work on several projects at once interchangeably
- Ability to deal with conflict and negotiation skills
- Understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act, GI Code of Practice, road rules, liability determination and claims business processes.
- Multilingual language skills are a valued asset at Suncorp, as we aim to deliver outstanding experiences throughout our diverse customer base. We encourage applicants proficient in languages other than English to apply.

**Training Period**

You will undergo 6 weeks training which will be onsite on a **full-time basis,** Monday to Friday 08:30am - 16:30pm (AEST) and will be a combination of classroom style training and high support.

**Working from Home**

This role is a hybrid role and will provide you with the opportunity to work from home following your training period. There will be an expectation for you to attend the office up to 2 days per week.

To successfully work from home, you will require the following:

- Home phone line or VOIP connection
- Internet connection
- Keyboard, mouse and webcam - dual screens are recommended
- Ergonomic set up with desk and chair in a quiet, private space
- Anti-virus software
