**The role**:
Based in Sydney or Melbourne, we are currently seeking a Hands-On Inventory Manager who is looking for their next opportunity. Reporting to the Group Director of Network Operations, the purpose of this role is to maintain accurate inventory in Australia and New Zealand. You will also facilitate and ensure timely coordination between internal teams along with the creation and ongoing management of the inventory management process as well as:

- Ensuring accurate stock levels, maintaining product quality, optimizing warehouse operations, and reporting key performance indicators to oversee inventory movement across all locations.
- You'll gather and assess data to decide on the right order quantities and keep track of consumable item stocks.
- Develop the company’s inventory management strategy to control costs and maximize available working capital.
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks.
- Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant materials.
- Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.

**To obtain this oOh Unmissable opportunity, you will need to demonstrate the following**
- Qualifications and/or relevant background in inventory management, along with 2- 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions across an organisation
- Ability and demonstrated experience in setting up a BOM for standard structures to streamline stock booking process
- Familiarity with selecting, implementing, and managing inventory management systems
- Experience in Stock lifecycle management (item creation, item tracking, end-of-life disposal, repairs)
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to lean management practices
- Understanding of occupational health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.
- Working with various departments to facilitate new item and vendor set up.
