**About the role**:
JIVARO Recruitment are currently looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our client's National leading fashion retail business. As an Inventory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inventory, optimising stock levels, and contributing to the overall success of the business. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate across various teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Optimisation**: Analyse historical sales data, current market trends, and demand patterns to forecast accurate inventory levels. Regularly review and adjust replenishment strategies to minimize overstock and stockouts, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
- **Stock Replenishment**: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of merchandise. Place purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- **Inventory Accuracy**: Implement and oversee effective inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock counts. Conduct routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate any discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
- **Stock Allocation**: Collaborate with the merchandising and sales teams to allocate inventory to various stores or online channels based on demand, location, and product performance.
- **Demand Forecasting**: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to gather insights on upcoming promotions, campaigns, and events that may impact inventory requirements. Utilise this information to adjust stock levels accordingly.
- **Obsolete Inventory Management**: Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock and develop strategies for clearance or markdowns to prevent financial loss. Implement strategies to minimise the occurrence of obsolete inventory.
- **Reporting and Analysis**: Generate regular inventory reports, highlighting key performance indicators such as stock turnover, fill rates, and aging stock. Analyse data to identify trends and make informed recommendations to optimise inventory management processes.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Buying, Operations, and Logistics to ensure seamless coordination in inventory-related activities. Communicate effectively to address any supply chain issues or concerns.
- **Systems Management**: Oversee the inventory management system, ensuring accurate data entry, system updates, and smooth integration with other business systems.
- **Team Leadership**: Provide guidance and leadership to inventory control staff, ensuring they are trained on inventory management best practices and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4-5 + years) in inventory management within the retail or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory control methodologies, and demand forecasting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Leadership experience and ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and the retail landscape is advantageous.
