**About the team**:
For a company as big as ours, the regulatory environment is naturally complex. Because we operate across a range of Compliance remits, our Risk & Compliance team are trusted advisors to the business. With such a deep understanding of our goals and values, we provide practical and commercial advice when it’s needed most.
We are currently searching for a Compliance Specialist to join our team to provide Project support and partner with business on Compliance and Governance matters, to ensure continuing commercial success of this business.

**About the role**:
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for implementing regulatory and compliance framework across Coles Merchandise teams; Provide regulatory and compliance advice and support to Coles Merchandise teams; and continuing education to key stakeholders on legislative requirements for the business.

You’ll also
- Participate in key Merchandise initiatives to ensure business risks are identified and mitigated where possible.
- Provide commercially focused advice at all times.
- Look after and find ways to improve systems and processes to alleviate risk and improve quality of compliance reporting and insights.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships via clear communication.
- Pass on consistent reports on all compliance matters.
- Provide merchandise compliance support to business projects and initiatives as required.
- Update merchandise compliance manuals and job aids as required.

**About you and your skills**:

- Experience working in Complex Compliance/Risk environments, preferably in the Retail/Consumer sectors.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, as well a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve whilst navigating through complex projects.
- A sound knowledge of compliance and governance regulations to be able to provide high level advice.
- Ability to interpret legislation and policy regulations.
- Participate in projects ensuring appropriate procedures and controls are in place to comply with new legislation.
