As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing and leading the procurement team to ensure that the purchasing needs of the business are met. A significant focus of this role is coordinating the activities of the team to achieve program requirements and ensuring that the team and all areas of the business adhere to the correct procurement practices.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage the procurement team and establish effective measures of performance and metrics.
- Ensure members of the team have the correct knowledge and skills to perform assigned purchasing tasks and provide on the job training and support to address skill and knowledge gaps.
- Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release.
- Engage with relevant specialists to address identified conflicts and/or risks with commercial terms and supplier conditions that vary from standard company purchase order terms.
- Support vendor engagement activities including negotiations and supplier performance management where appropriate.

**To be successful in the role you will require**:

- A Degree related to Supply Chain (Procurement), Business, Commerce, Law, or Finance, with equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 - 10 years relevant experience in a procurement role.
- Requires significant knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the procurement work area.
- Requires broad knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Program Management, Engineering, etc).
- Demonstrated experience in procurement activities and the management of internal customer and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of a geographically dispersed team and the ability to influence parties at an operational level to achieve objectives within a compliance framework.
- This position will require availability to travel to other sites when required.
