This is a fantastic, VPS6 fixed-term (to June 2024) opportunity as Manager, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Unit, to lead one of the Department of Education and Training's key initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Quality Teaching Branch, this role leads and coordinates the state-wide delivery and ongoing enhancement of the high-profile Professional Learning Communities initiative which supports teacher professional learning and capability building. The Manager engages with regionally-based teams who work directly to support schools. As part of the branch leadership team, the Manager, PLC Unit will share collective responsibility for maintaining a positive branch culture and clear strategic direction. The position is based in the CBD, with up to 2 days working from home per week.

Subject to exceptions, only employees, and prospective employees with up-to-date vaccination status (see definitions section of the policy) against COVID-19 and who provide evidence of their Vaccination Status are permitted to work for the department outside their ordinary place of residence.
For this role, you are required to submit proof of full vaccination as part of the recruitment process and prior to commencement employment. Please refer to the above link for more information. This role requires onsite attendance at one or more Department work locations.
