**The Role**

Land Command, Control, Communications & Computer Systems (LC4S) Branch is seeking highly motivated and skilled engineering professionals able to provide engineering leadership with a record of delivering complex technical and engineering outcomes.
With opportunities across acquisition, integration and sustainment programs, engineering professionals will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and technical resource management to ensure Defence maintains cutting-edge communications capabilities critical for the Australian Defence Force to equip the Joint Force to meet their operational challenges in to the future.
The right people for these roles will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of the Defence environment and the agility to realign resourcing to meet new demands. You will be leaders who provide support and guidance to your teams to ensure they are sensitive to Defence strategic direction and equipped to excel in their capabilities.
You will be responsible for exercising assigned engineering authorities within the Land Worthiness framework. You will possess a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia. These are leadership roles in which you will exercise a significant degree of independence. We are looking for a collaborator who will be able to understand the needs of our stakeholders and produce outcomes and results according to their requirements.
LC4S Branch are looking to fill the following role:
LC4 Acquisition SPO - EL 1 - Land 4140 - Lead Engineer (Russell - ACT, Melbourne - VIC)
The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP), which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).
Flexible part-time hours/job-share arrangements considered for some positions. Telework from home considered however, these roles cannot be performed remotely on a full-time basis, as they are office based. Family-friendly working arrangements are available.
