**The Opportunity**
- The Lead Learning Designer is responsible for steering strategic and client learning design projects, working in the Learning Transformation team within Learning Innovation. The key purpose of this position is to lead and develop Learning Designers in the team and drive the design of engaging and high-quality online learning experiences and products for MBS Online.

MBS Online is a fast-paced and busy environment that operates as a start-up within the larger Melbourne Business School with three primary product verticals: award programs, short courses, and custom solutions.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Supervise Learning Designers and other Learning Design related specialists (internal and external) to execute multiple projects, ensuring that projects are delivered according to the requirements of each project
- Lead the creation of learning experiences that are in line with MBS’s signature pedagogy and quality standards
- Successfully manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables with tight deadlines
- Champion agile ways of working within the team, leading elements such as scoping, development periods, sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Use key data and metrics to evaluate, iterate and lead the team in improving the learner experience, and developing a futures-aware learning design conscience
- Communicate clearly with confidence and passion to proactively contribute ideas for the future of MBS learning products and its community

**About you**
- You’ll be passionate about all things learning design. You should be inquisitive, and open-minded and by leading the team - keen to contribute to a great culture and create superb learning experiences. In this busy role, no two days will be the same, so you’ll be comfortable prioritising a busy workload, shifting contexts quickly, whilst also developing relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- 5+ years’ experience in higher education and/or within a professional services firm, global consultancy firm and/or large private and/or public sector organisations working within a learning solution context
- Proven experience leading multiple projects at one time combined with strong relationship management skills
- Excellent eye for detail in your work and others and a constant search for excellence
- Keen problem solver with a ‘can-do’ mindset
- Exceptional individual prioritisation skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced professional services environment
- Passion for innovation and staying up to date with the latest digital learning and development trends
