Fulton Hogan (FH) are contracted to the Dept. of Defence to deliver the P0010 RAAF Base Pearce Project, located in the outskirts of Perth, in Bullsbrook, WA. The project includes significant upgrades to existing airfield asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, airfield ground lighting (AGL) and a new ALER Building.

We are now seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join the WA Project delivery team and support the Pearce project and future works, bringing a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Reporting to the Project Manager, and supported by a Regional Quality Manager, you will be the appointed Project Quality Representative (PQR), responsible for the effective development and implementation of the quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) systems, processes, and deliverables, required to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the Project Specifications and Contract requirements.

You will also be nominated Project Commissioning and Handover representative responsible for co-ordinating commissioning and handover / takeover requirements, ensuring the works are handed over in an agreed and timely manner.

The position is a Perth based opportunity that will be site based following site establishment. As an experienced construction quality professional, you will ideally have experience in Airfield and/or Roadworks civil construction, including flexible asphalt and concrete pavements, earthworks, drainage, electrical and communications services, and non-process buildings (mínimal scope). Experience with Defence processes and delivering works with a lot based management approach (e.g. through: ConQA, QAntrol, CivilPro) will be highly regarded.

Key role responsibilities include:

- Monitor all aspects of project quality and commissioning/handover performance, ensuring outcomes are in accordance with our systems and contract obligations;
- Preparation and completion of associated deliverables including ITPs, Checklists, requests etc;
- Management responsibility of the NCR process, ensuring NCR’s are identified, raised and closed out in a timely manner with lessons learnt identified, communicated and system improvement implemented.
- Management responsibility of the project collaboration system and the interface with the client (e.g. RFIs & NCR transmittal)
- Ensure junior engineers are trained up and competent with QA Management System - Civilpro and provide understanding of QA and lot management.
