We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.

**The Role**:
We have an exciting development opportunity for a
**Supervisor - Grain Protection,** to join our Avon / Corrigin Grain Protection team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for providing technical support and day-to-day supervision to the grain protection team in the zone. This includes the development, execution, ongoing monitoring, and compliance of grain protection activities in the zone and working with stakeholders to coordinate the grain protection weekly plans (i.e. fumigations, clearances and pest control.

**Key Responsibilities**- Provide support and coaching to the grain protection team to ensure compliance with the Protect Grain SOP, CBH safety requirements and the achievement of CBH safety objectives, including conducting regular safety interactions.- Conduct, lead or participate in safety audits, investigations and initiatives as required.- Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to the grain protection team, including completion of Annual Development Reviews (ADRs).- Coordinate the planning, rostering, and scheduling of the grain protection team to meet operational requirements.- Conduct, develop and participate in training and development initiatives, including providing on-the-job training and conducting toolbox and pre-start meetings as require.- Set up and execute weekly the grain protection plan to align with shipping accumulation, ensuring clear alignment with the strategies of the Manager - Grain Protection & Quality, and the relevant Zone, Terminal, and Area Managers.- Provide technical support to ensure fumigation structures and fumigation performance meet established protocol standards.- Manage the implementation of insect, bird, weed and rodent control programs, in conjunction with the Area Managers, to protect the grain and maintain hygiene levels within the Area / Zone.- Manage training of various levels of staff on fumigation protocols.- Assist Grain Technology in the verification of activities to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.- Manage the maintenance of the HDS units to ensure we meet ongoing requirements as per the standards.

**Skills and Experience**- Minimum three years’ experience in fumigation-related activities, including dangerous goods management and pesticide safety activities.- Previous experience leading a team.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to produce high-quality written documentation, including status reports and business cases.- Knowledge of post-harvest grains biosecurity is desirable.- Previous pest management experience is desirable.
