Supporting a dynamic and diversely skilled team, the Compliance Support Officer is integral in effectively linking all aspects of our HSE coordination, compliance assurance framework and risk management practices across our internal and external stakeholders and the relevant dedicated functions within the CSIRO corporate structure. They will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to support the RS&C team in the development, implementation and continuous review of a robust safety, risk and compliance framework. The framework will be supported by strong engagement and communications with all stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes.

**Your duties will include**:

- Support the development and implementation of a fit for purpose framework that demonstrates appropriate management of our compliance space in alignment with the Organisational requirements and established practices, process, policies, procedures and standards.
- Support the delivery and close out of audits and compliance activities within key areas of the team portfolio and in collaboration with relevant CSIRO functional areas.
- Maintain the Ship Management Program risk register and help administer our activities within the organisational incident reporting system, DoneSafe.
- Support the management of Program record management systems
- Conduct internal risk assessments and compliance assurance activities
- Support Program management by:

- Working adaptively, positively and collaboratively as a member of the Program and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the development and training activities of the Program, including identifying and meeting personal development needs.

**Salary**:AU$68,148 - AU$84,415 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
Essential:

- Pre-Requisites_
- A willingness and ability to travel in order to provide operational support in domestic or foreign ports.

Essential Criteria:

- Experience in administering and coordinating a range of information and data to inform decision making
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise demands, and escalate issues as appropriate, establishing priorities across multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Sound experience in standard office software (Microsoft Office 365) and systems such as SharePoint, Jira service desk.
- Superior communications skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes and development of strong relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a level of independence in a professional team environment.
- Under the guidance and direction of the Team Leader provide a range of supports around logístical, operational and technical areas, necessary to deliver research voyage operations.

Desirable
- Experience and or qualifications in WHS/risk/compliance assurance an advantage
