Duties:
- Conduct investigations into organisations pursuant to the _Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023 _that includes the Reportable Conduct Scheme, actions of organisations in preventing and responding to reportable allegations as well as handling general enquiries, notifications, and complaints.
- Manage a caseload of diverse matters and liaise and consult with other areas of the Office and a range of external stakeholders to deliver information, guidance, and training.
- Support the broader team within the Office with general queries, make formal inquiries and provide timely advice, guidance to organisations on best practice in preventing and responding to reportable allegations.
- Providing guidance, oversight and advice for the way in which organisations respond to reportable allegations, including risk assessment, risk management and investigation having regard to quality standards, performance measures and risks.
- Develop and maintain trusting and productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake research, assist with policy development and advice on matters relating to complaint resolution, alternative dispute resolution, standards of service delivery and other matters.
- Assist in enhancing the public profile of the Office including developing networks and assisting in the implementation of outreach programs and maintaining effective communication pathways with complainants, notifiers and agencies.
Essential Requirements:
- A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
