**About the team**

Group Finance and Investment (GFI) is a trusted advisor to the Transport cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $75.7 billion infrastructure program over the next four years.

We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. GFI plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

**The opportunity**

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Manager Portfolio Assessment to join the Capital Portfolio Management branch in the Finance and Investment Division. This functional area specifically targets the achievement of maximised customer outcomes from our 10 year capital portfolio. Based out of our Elizabeth Street office in Sydney at least three days a week, you will maintain the alignment of TfNSW capital portfolio outcomes within wider NSW Government, INSW and TfNSW strategy by specifying objectives and measures, and providing ongoing assessment of performance.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Advising the Senior Manager Portfolio Assessment and the Director, Portfolio Optimisation on all matters related to strategic alignment of the capital portfolio for TfNSW.
- Supporting the development of portfolio-level strategic objectives and measures, drawing on strategies and plans produced by the NSW Government, INSW and TfNSW.
- Developing methodologies to systematically assess portfolio performance against strategic objectives and measures.
- Developing strategic assessment-based reporting for the Insights & Reporting Team on a systematic basis in the required format for inclusion in internal and external reporting
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders by gaining a thorough understanding of their technical and business requirements and using effective communication and liaison skills to provide advice on relevant strategic initiatives.

**About you**

We are looking for a driven and supportive team player with demonstrated experience developing, reporting and managing financial information in a complex and dynamic environment. With strong communication and stakeholder management skills, you will be comfortable working with the business to address data integrity issues. Skilled when it comes to interrogation of asset and services plans you will be able to identify gaps and make improvements to support positive Transport outcomes. Possessing advanced excel capability it is essential you are experienced working with varying data sets and able to manipulate data to a usable format. While Power BI expertise is not essential it would be viewed favourably.

**Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
