**Assistant Principal - Wellbeing and Inclusion**

**2024 OR 2025 START DATE NEGOTIABLE**

The focus of the role will be leading the management, development and implementation of wellbeing and inclusion programs across the school. The Assistant Principal for Wellbeing and inclusion will work collaboratively with the Executive Team to lead whole school wellbeing and inclusion programs within existing school structures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Leading the implementation of the Disability and Inclusion Program
- Managing a team of staff within the inclusion program
- Managing the wellbeing team and wellbeing programs within the school
- Leading staff development and expertise regarding evidence-based inclusion and wellbeing practices
- Liaising with external agencies, networks and providers to support student learning, including identifying and working with external stakeholders such as FLO settings
- Management of and building expertise in IEP and SSG development across the staff of the school
- including support for students with significant behavioural needs who may not have a learning diagnosis
- Leading and supporting teams of allied health professionals
- Contributing to the overall leadership and management of the whole school as part of the Executive Team

**Responsibilities**:
Typically, assistant principals perform one or more of the following functions:

- supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators;
- allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of responsibility;
- supervision of the delivery of teaching programs;
- management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff;
- responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators;
- contribute to the overall management of the school;
