Our client based in the western suburbs is seeking a permanent Finance Supervisor to join their collaborative team.

**Your new role**

As the Finance Supervisor, you will be responsible for making critical financial decisions by collecting and tracking the organisation’s finances. Along with financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal compliance requirements.
- Develop a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and defining financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintain a general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents.
- Create budgets and forecasts and advise on how to improve the business.
- Assist with annual profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends.
- Complies with federal and state legal requirements, enforcing adherence to those requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Monitor the taxation responsibilities, including GST and BAS, Income tax and employee-related taxes.
- You will also oversee Accounts receivable, credit control, accounts payable and payroll** **functions.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

- Supervisory experience and the ability to lead a team
- Understanding of financial management obligations.
- Experience with accounting computer software Xero and Excel.
- Ability to assist in financial management and control.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- You will have strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work autonomously.
