**About the role**:
The Manager, Local Services Commissioning and Performance Management will hold accountability for the establishment of Local Services in line with the intent of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System and will lead a small team to coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to Local Services.
The role involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including Health Services and NGO and a range of program and policy areas within the department.
The successful applicant will demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, as well as an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Victorian health workforces and improve outcomes for Victorians.

**How you'll make a difference**:
This new and key role is charged with establishing Local Services in line with the intent of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. You will lead a small team to coordinate and lead responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to Local Services. You will bring strong critical analysis and highly developed interpersonal skills.

**Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate**:

- Tertiary qualification in health or a related field is desirable

Expertise in health system reform.

A strong understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is essential.
