**Position Description**

**Volvo Group Australia **has an opening for a
**SRM - Supplier Relationship Manager** to join the team at Group Truck Operations, located at our Wacol Factory Site Queensland Australia.
This role will be offered as a full-time position. You will work closely with the Material Control Manager, and the broader Logistics Team to support production schedules are maintained.
Supplier Relationship Manager role is focused on quality assurance of Volvo End-to-End supply chain performance by analyzing and improving supplier’s service level and by proactively mitigating or reacting to supply chain disturbances.
The Primary purpose of this position, to foster a productive relationship with Volvo suppliers, to ensure meeting Volvos logistics requirements. Including management to Volvo’s Service level agreement, management of delivery delays and management of internal communication to stakeholders. Coach and develop Material Controllers to support GTO Volvo End-to-End supply chain performance.
Including:

- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.
- Maintain and develop the factory materials systems in relation to parts management in order to support the broader Logistics Team.
- Managing Parts ordering and deliver on-time to meet Production's build requirements.

**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain / logistics
- At least 5 Years of relevant work experience in the field of Supply Chain and/or Logistic
- At least 3 Years of managerial experience in the field of material control / or purchasing officer (including MRP and JIT systems)
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Effective communication skills and ability to partner with many stakeholders
- Motivated and determined to reach agreed objectives, (K)PI’s
- Intermediate computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability of initiative
