**About the role**:
This role will interface between Group IT and the Business. The position will be support the IT Strategy alignment and execution of the division’s IT Systems and Services covering all IT activities**.**
You will partner with the business to build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders across their business unit. Supporting the Business to define, prioritize & achieve strategic objectives aligned with the over IT strategy and architecture. They will act as an advocate for the Business Groups’ needs related to delivery of IT services and will oversee resolution of issues and concerns as necessary. This person represents IT - their strategy
Key to the success of this role will be your ability to:
- Understand the business, business priorities and business processes and what drives the BU’s profitability, costs, NPS and key performance indicators
- Be aware of the competitive landscape and across current trends and painpoints
- Understand the current technical reference architecture and systems that support the Business and align the future IT strategy to the broader Enterprise Architecture principles and roadmap
- Create awareness of the reference architecture and be accountable to deliver critical initiatives in alignment with this reference architecture
- Gain an awareness of technology trends and developments that are evolving outside the enterprise
- Have a thorough working knowledge of governance policies and practices
- Be fluent in the language of both Business and IT and be able to translate business painpoints into a clear practical IT strategy and plan to address
- Be technically adept and able to have architecture level discussions with the business
- Champion adjustments to the reference architecture if business imperative requires it
**About you**:
- Tertiary qualification in IT or Business Management or a related field
- Experience in managing technically complex, diverse functions within similar organizations
- Experience in leading projects/portfolios, whether they be IT or Business related
- Extensive experience in a senior IT generalist / customer facing role (e.g. Business Relationship Manager, Client Engagement Manager, Account Manager, Line of Business IT Delivery Manager)
- Experience leading complex business transformations, particularly leading teams without direct line management control.
- Advanced MS-Office experience: PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Superior communication skills; openly communicates; capable of explaining to non-technical managers the implications of various technology-related initiatives/options; tailors responses to the audience/recipient, messages are clear and concise; presents with impact - conveys an air of confidence
- Highly tuned listening skills, listens and seeks to understand ahead of being understood
