**Job description**:
Our client is currently seeking an APS5 Quality Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Brisbane CBD.

The Performance Management and Quality Branch influences a high-quality end to end participant experience through delivery of Continuous Improvement (CI), a Quality Management Framework (QMF) and Performance Management activities. The branch reviews the consistency and quality of operational activities against standards, procedures, and practices across the end-to-end participant value chain.

The branch is responsible for identifying key trends and insights and sharing these with PED to drive improvements in performance and quality, utilising a Continuous Improvement framework. The branch facilitates an uplift in staff capability through Learning and Development activities for PED staff which is monitored and evaluated through evidence-based practice to ensure embedment.

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Managing a range of moderately complex to complex quality reviews
- Providing professional and technical commentary to review findings to improve decision making, planning practice and performance.
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities in relation to planning processes and/or decision making.
- Supporting and mentoring team members to enhance quality and correctness of technical skills and knowledge.
- Assisting to develop and implement improvement strategies to deliver branch goals and strategic objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong engagement with multiple stakeholders.
- Organisation and time management.
- Experience in the disability, health, or aged care sectors
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using & analysing data is highly desirable.
- ** An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.**

This role is at the APS5 level equivalent offering $55.24 per hour + 11% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave. This is a 12-month assignment with view to extension, offering 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid WFH up to 2 days per week is available following training.
