The purpose of this role is to build relationships with a defined portfolio of small and medium enterprise customers, acting as the main point of contact for all account needs and providing an exceptional customer experience. Via a telephone account management model, drive the retention and renewal of existing business through proactive and ongoing customer engagement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and/or maintain a direct relationship, primarily through telephone contact, with defined customer base to understand their business goals, needs and issues
- Develop ongoing customer engagement/account plans and proritise portfolio of customers
- Drive marketing activities and work with customers to propose suitable products, services and upgrades to maintain and grow revenue
- Identify and win new business through sustained contact with the customer, and by building a sales pipeline and opportunity management
- Successful completion of sales administration activities to enable tracking of customer interactions and engagement

**Skills**:

- Ability to be persistent and answer objections
- Ability to connect with people via phone
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Good research skills and the ability to translate information into resonating statements
- Highly organised and timely with follow up
- Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies
- Negotiation, conflict management skills
