Costing Clerk required for Car dealership in Werribee (West Melbourne)

You will be working with one of the biggest Brands in Automotive at a fast paced and top preforming Dealership.

The Costing Clerk is responsible for the supervision of the Retail, Internal and Warranty Repair orders with a view to their timely and efficient presentation for the Service Advisors to present to clients.

This role is pivotal to the success of the Service Operation and as such will need a high attention to detail and a commitment to timeliness and efficiency. You will be accustomed to a team environment and multitasking within a high volume business unit

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Sound knowledge of workshop procedures.
- Knowledge of warranty systems
- Knowledge of service schedules and basic repairs
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
- Excellent computer skills and time management
- Excellent diagnostic skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Have good leadership skills
- **BASIC FUNCTIONS**:

- Process service invoices
- Pre book services and take phone enquirys
- Advise customers of completed works and parts orders
- Assist in the sales of team budgets and achieving of same.
- Service reminders
- Daily reports
- Office/clerical duties
- **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Complete all repair orders in detail giving the team full customer requirements
- Service Operations
- a) Assist Team Leader in preparing, and controlling workshop activities.
- b) Upon completion of normal repairs and/or service inspect the job card to ensure the vehicle has been repaired and/or serviced in accordance with the customer’s instructions and Manufacturers guidelines.
- c) Ensure customers receive the best quality service by requiring that all jobs be completed correctly the first time.
- d) Ensure seat covers, floor mats, bumper guards and any other item required is utilised to maintain vehicle cleanliness prior to going from driveway.
- e) Ensure all customer vehicles are maintained clean at all times.
- f) Assist in advising all new and existing staff of Dealership policies.
- g) In conjunction with Team Leader set a regular team area-cleaning schedule highlighting employee’s specific duties in the Team Leaders absence.
- h) Make suggestions to management for improvements to the Mechanical Service Department’s operations.
- i) Perform other duties as requested by Management.
