**About the role**

The key objective of the IT Delivery Manager is to provide:

- Project management services including planning, procuring, and managing the project and initiative implementation.
- Delivery Management to ensure technology solutions meet the organizations and end user requirements.
- Management of Solution Servicesdelivery while ensuring alignment to MCEC’s project management principles and practices
- Mentoring and coaching of MCEC team members in project delivery practices - including both Agile and Waterfall approaches
- Planning and end to end delivery of assigned Initiatives.
- Management of complex system, people and processes interdependencies and risks across multiple initiatives and squads
- Continuous improvement of standards and methods
- Resource capacity planning and alignment to prioritise demand.
- Management of budget and planning (incl. vendor management) for assigned initiatives.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provide project management expertise throughout entire project including leading procurement, planning and implementation activities.
- Facilitate and confirm project scope, goals, deliverables and benefits.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements for all functional areas.
- Track project deliverables, project budget/expenditure and communicate with Project Sponsors and Steering Committee to deliver on-time and within scope and budget.
- Work closely with MCEC APMO team, in particular with project managers ensuring an end-to-end approach to successfully delivering projects with a focus on providing delivery of IT components for MCEC projects.
- Ensure the delivery of high quality, fit for purpose solutions delivered through agile and waterfall development approaches.
- Contribute to overall technology and strategic direction to ensure that IT interests are considered and included.
- Drive quality and delivery methodology processes to ensure successful transition and users’ satisfaction.
- Provide high quality and articulate briefings that present content in a way that facilitates good decision making.
- Develop, review, update and decommission supporting tools for team members and stakeholders as required.
- Support the evolution of MCEC’s Agile business model and ensures continuous improvement and measurement of platform delivery cadence.
- Relevant experience in leading change within technology organisations.

**Qualifications, knowledge, and Experience**:
**Essential**
- 5+ years proven experience in IT leadership roles, such as Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master with excellent delivery management experience.
- Ability to demonstrate delivery of complex projects with associated risks and budgets.
- Experience in planning and delivery of complex technology initiatives with dependencies across multiple teams/squads
- Experience facilitating large workshops and governance events.
- An understanding of contemporary development practices, processes, and technology
- High degree of customer focus and commercial acumen
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Previous success in leading and motivating high performing teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate to a wide range of business stakeholders from Executive, Senior Management, and operational team members.

**Desirable**
- Event Business Management System experience - EBMS
