Our Office of Strategic Lands (OSL) team is currently seeking to appoint a **Manager, Operations. **This is a temporary opportunity based in Parramatta and offers hybrid working conditions. In this role, you will provide high-level executive, business and project management support services to the Director Operations, Office of Strategic Lands to assist them in achieving OSL’s strategic and operational priorities in line with Departmental and Government objectives.

The Department is the lead agency for the Planning and Environment cluster, which includes the Office of Environment and Heritage, the Office of Local Government, NSW Reconstruction Authority, Sydney Olympic Park Authority and several other entities associated with the Department, including the Environment Protection Authority, statutory trusts responsible for zoos, parks and gardens, independent assessment and planning bodies and development corporations. OSL is part of this cluster and acquires, holds and manages land for the purposes of open space and infrastructure. It administers the Planning Ministerial Corporation (Corporation) which holds land and plays a key role in supporting the NSW Government’s strategic planning priorities.

**In This Role You Will**:

- Assist the Director Operations, Office of Strategic Lands and broader teams by managing the Corporation’s activities, including financial, risk and governance management.
- Oversee efficient correspondence flow, coordinate and prepare timely and accurate advice and quality information and reports on a range of management, policy, program and service delivery issues to assist in meeting business outcomes.
- Lead the implementation of the NSW Government’s Asset Management Policy to ensure the Corporation achieves compliance in agreed timeframes and implement a program of Work, Health and Safety.
- Assist in the management of procurement processes within OSL and drive a culture of best practice to ensure value for money is being achieved and compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
- Identify and implement system and process improvements to ensure that business management functions are operating efficiently and that the OSL team are supported to deliver programs and projects on time, budget and to a high quality.
- Work collaboratively with the broader team and external stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality advice despite competing deadlines or priorities.
- Prepare, review and edit briefings and other strategic documents to provide advice and support to the Director Operations, Office of Strategic Lands.
- Manage risk, assurance and compliance activities across OSL on behalf of the Director Operations, Office of Strategic Lands and prepare briefings and reports for the Audit and Risk Committee, as well as helping the Director to monitor and ensure OSL’s compliance with Government and Departmental policies and relevant legislation.

**Key Knowledge and Experience**
