- The Music Teacher in this position will be required to deliver violin pedagogy, on an individual basis, to high achieving Year 9 - VCE Music Performance students. This includes preparing students for performances and examinations; and preparing end-of-term reports for parents.- The role also includes the possibility of management and rehearsal of the Nossal High School Orchestra.- The successful applicant will provide administrative support to the Director of Music in the organisation of the extracurricular instrumental program. This will include tracking lesson attendance, monitoring timesheets and maintaining instrumental music student enrolments.- Music teachers are required to attend faculty meetings, assist with preparation and attend events such as VCE Soirees, House Music Night, Speech Night and other performances as required.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical and performing ability, excellent communication and organisational skills. Applicants must have a current VIT /WWC registration.Other duties may be assigned by the Principal and / or the Director of Music.No yard duty will be assigned to this position

Attendance at morning briefing, staff meetings, professional learning sessions and parent teacher interviews to be negotiated

**Responsibilities**:

- High Level Teaching of individual and student groups
- Manage the Nossal School String Ensemble, including development of repertoire, rehearsals, preparation for performances & related administration duties
- Maintain accurate attendance rolls
- Prepare and present student reports to parents twice per year
- Attend Faculty Meetings as required
