We are currently seeking a senior health professional with sophisticated planning, performance and relationship management expertise to facilitate and manage health planning, health intelligence and performance for Adelaide PHN.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Executive Manager Strategy, Planning and Performance, this new position will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational planning and design, data management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting across Adelaide PHN activities, projects, and commissioned services.

As **Planning and Performance Manager** you will:

- Develop and lead our Planning and Performance team, responsible for identifying health needs and opportunities to address need and undertaking outcome analysis of programs and services across the Adelaide metropolitan region.
- Provide advice and support to the Executive, Board, and Adelaide PHN staff and work collaboratively with Local Health Networks, universities, and primary health care providers.
- Lead and coordinate the development, and implementation of tools, resources and frameworks to support efficient and effective planning solutions in a primary health care commissioning context.
- Identify, prioritise and synthesise information and health intelligence relevant to planning and design.
- Ensure appropriate engagement of stakeholders, including Adelaide PHN Councils to identify priority health needs of our communities and codesign appropriate solutions.
- Oversee operational planning and design of the PHN’s funded activities.
- Ensure Adelaide PHN meets its obligations regarding needs assessments, activity workplans and performance reports.
- Develop and oversee the development and implementation of an organisation wide framework for monitoring and evaluation of the performance of activities delivered by Adelaide PHN and funded providers.
- Advise on data management and opportunities related to improving monitoring and reporting of commissioned programs and services.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications such as public health, population health, planning, evaluation or similar health related field.
- Significant experience at a senior management level, including high level strategic thinking and planning skills; and ability to transition between the strategic to the operational.
- Skills, knowledge and experience guiding organisations in the strategic use of data, co design, monitoring and evaluation to provide system and service improvement.
- Experience developing and implementing plans aligned to organisational strategic goals.
- Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative business relationships for the benefit of the organisation.
- Strong understanding of data maturity and governance, including data analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation of data and information relating to health services need, supply, utilisation and effectiveness.
